Pastor Michael Scott Pastor Michael Scott was born and raised in Texas. He is a 1971 graduate of East Texas Baptist University of Marshall, Texas. He is also a 1981 graduate of Southwestern Seminary of Fort Worth, Texas. After serving as a pastor in Texas for 13 years he spent 17 years doing pastoral work in Wyoming. Michael came to Calvary at Valley Center in June of 2001. He and his wife Charlotte are the parents of three adult children and four grandchildren with one more on the way. What Michael brings to the pastorate of Calvary is leadership capabilities, rich experiences in pastoral work, and a strong commitment to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Email the Pastor: Michael@CalvaryVC.org Pastor Jason Ramsey Jason Ramsey is our associate pastor serving as our worship leader, and overseeing our youth ministry.  Jason was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, where he grew up as a PK.  As his family moved into church planting, they came to Kansas to start new churches.  Jason married Lori, his high school sweetheart from Shawnee Mission KS, and they now have 4 children.  Kaley, Kelsey, Craig, and Christian.  Jason began serving as a youth and music pastor in 1993, and earned his degree in Religious Education from Southwest Baptist University in 1994.  He has served in Kansas and Missouri churches.  Jason joined the Calvary staff in May of 2006. E-Mail Jason: Jason@CalvaryVC.org Secretary Sharon Sisler Hi! My name is Sharon Sisler! As church secretary, I am often the first person to greet you when you walk into the church building. I have the responsibility of keeping as many of our people posted on as many of our happenings as possible. A lot of my time is spent on the telephone or on the computer (or actually, clearing paper jams.....). My favorite part of my job is to deal with our people one on one for a variety of reasons. After serving in this position since 1980, I still look forward to my ministry in a real and loving manner and claim Nehemiah 8:10 daily! In my off hours, I enjoy being a wife, homemaker and GRANDMOTHER, teaching middle school Sunday School and shopping! My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6! To God be the glory.... Email Sharon: Sharon@CalvaryVC.org Financial Secretary Nancy Otte My name is Nancy Otte! I am the Financial Recording Secretary for Calvary Baptist Church. I have other faithful volunteers that make my job easier, such as our treasurer and the nine tellers who work on a rotational basis to count the offerings. My responsibility is to oversee all areas that deal with money. I write checks, post contributions, make deposits from other designated income and sit on the Budget/Stewardship Committee as an ex officio member. God has blessed our church in so many ways, one of which is being debt free. I have worked in this capacity since May of 1988 and enjoy seeing those who are learning to live out of God's economy rather than the world's economy. Our children and grand children are the bright spot in our lives. I teach Precept Bible Studies and support my husband as he teaches Sunday School. Music, Lighthouses, traveling and reading are the true loves of my leisure time. With a busy life, my life verse is John 14:27 - Jesus says: "Peace I leave with you, my peace i give unto you, not as the world gives it, give I unto you.
